PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
This one-day course covers a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of Veterinary Dentistry. Learn the role of dentistry and the importance of collaboration across every department in a veterinary hospital. Gain full confidence in client communication, dentistry pricing, disease prevention, dental radiography, high-speed dental units, surgical instrumentation, oral surgery preparation, full-mouth extractions & patient after-care.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
The number of participants will vary per clinic/lab.
Participants will work both independently and with a case study partner.
Face-to-face training is required.
Course expectations are set for participants to develop a comprehensive understanding of dentistry in veterinary medicine as well as perfecting radiography and procedural techniques. Participants will gain comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in all aspects of veterinary dentistry and dental radiography.
Participants will gain the ability to effectively promote, efficiently perform, and confidently communicate the curriculum and experiences taught throughout the course.
The veterinary industry will benefit from the saturation of a learned value of importance of veterinary dentistry for both its patients’ overall health and the growth and betterment of the industry.
This course is an open-level entry designed to benefit all levels of education & all departments within a veterinary clinic.

The curriculum within this course is 100% practical use instruction focusing on tangible experiences based on veterinary patient and client scenarios.
A primarily convergent course following proven pathways to improve diagnostic abilities, surgical application, communication, and promotion.
This course contains a fully instructor-developed curriculum based on three decades of successful experience in facilitating the growth and advancement of veterinary dentistry and its technologies as a well as an extensive and ever-growing network of industry professionals and diplomats.
Ongoing advancements in procedures and equipment technology are at the forefront of the course curriculum which will remain adaptive to implement these advancements as they become available.
Growing interest and appreciation of dentistry in the veterinary industry support the need and desire of students to complete this course.
This is a competency-based course with expectations of participants to show what they have learned. Participants will present their grasp of a full understanding of the course curriculum at its completion.
Participants will earn more than just “time in a seat.” This is real experience, actual knowledge, & thorough assessment.
Elective or required participation is based on the specific needs of each participant.
All participants will be evaluated on an individual basis. Instructor teachings will be based on the core idea of “Full-Circle Patient Care.”
Course instruction will be held on location at participating veterinary clinics across the U.S. and abroad when applicable. In-clinic equipment and instrumentation will be utilized when available to establish ease-of-use for participants.
The course will provide equipment and instrumentation when needed.

Keynote Speakers may be in attendance for presentations of lectures. Board Certified Veterinary Dentist may be in attendance for presentations of lectures as well as additional assistance on surgical procedures.
This course is designed to develop an understanding of the relationship between the departments of a veterinary clinic and its staffs’ role in supporting a dental center. Receptionists and practice managers play an important role but are often left out of valuable staff training.
This course encourages the participation of practice managers and receptionists to strengthen their understanding of dentistry and appropriately relay the value of dentistry to clientele.
All successful participants will be presented with a certification of completion acknowledging their dedicated efforts to learn and gain an understanding of dentistry in a veterinary setting.
All participating DVM’s and CVT’s will receive 8 hours of RACE certified CE.
